Frequently Asked Questions
Keep your valuable company products safe from the elements with our well-designed storage containers. For more information about our durable products, read the following frequently asked questions.
Q: What will be the condition of my container?
A: There are primarily three criteria for cargo containers that are known within the industry. They are as follows:
Wind & Weather-Tight: This means the box is square, the doors open and close properly, the floors are solid, and it doesn't leak.
Cargo-Worthy: The box is wind and weather-tight and inspected to make sure that it can be loaded and safely moved one way with cargo.
As-Is: The box is sold as-is, where-is, without any guarantees of merchantability. It may or may not be weather-tight.
Q: Are your containers painted?
A: Dp Containers will paint your container upon request and do our best to match the color you have in mind.
Q: What if I want to ship my container overseas?
A: For shipment overseas, containers must meet cargo-worthy criteria before it can be loaded. At Dp Containers, we do sell cargo-worthy containers. To insure that your container is suitable for shipment, we have an independent, industry-certified surveyor inspect the container before release. Then, we provide you a copy of that inspection to keep with your shipment documentation.
Q: How do I get my container?
A: Dp Containers will arrange tilt-bed delivery or flat-bed delivery to your location. However, we also offer the option for you to arrange your own pickup.
Q: How much room is required to deliver my unit?
A: To deliver a 20' unit, we recommend a minimum of 55 feet. To deliver a 40' unit, we recommend a minimum of 110 feet.
Q: Before I have my container delivered, what should I place under the container?
A: The ground should be stable and level so as not to interfere with the functioning of the doors. If desired, a concrete pad may be poured, the footprint could be layered with pea gravel, or the container may be placed on railroad ties. Keep in mind the actual floor of the container does not sit on the floor. Only the outer steel base structure and the cross members come in contact with the ground.
Q: Do you accept major credit cards?
A: Dp Containers accepts cashier's checks, personal checks with valid ID, and the following major credit cards: American Express™, Visa™, MasterCard™, and Discover™.
Q: Can you deliver on the weekends?
A: Dp Containers is more than happy to arrange weekend delivery with our customers. An additional charge may apply.
